The FOPhas not and will not take a position on draft legislation until wesee a document that both sides have agreed upon.Senior Legislative Liaison Tim Richardson spoke with staff inthe office of Senator Thomas B. Cotton (R-AR) regarding S.998, the "Driving for Opportunity Act," which would create agrant program for States to reinstate driver’s licenses that weresuspended for unpaid fines and fees.

Pelosi (D-CA), Speaker of the House,and unanimously passed the U.S. Senate, recognizes and honorsthe USCP and MPD officers who ran towards the looming dangerand defended the U.S. Capitol from a violent mob on January 6,2021. Congressional Gold Medals will be provided to the USCP,the MPD, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Architect of theCapitol to commemorate this heroism.
