The House was in recess this week.@GLFOP @FOPNATIONALNATIONAL FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICEH.R. 82, the "Social Security Fairness Act," has reached 218 cosponsors, a majorityof the House of Representatives. In the previous Congress, this milestone was notreached until mid-September 2021. The National FOP will continue to push for morecosponsors and fight to ensure that this bill receives a vote on the floor of the U.S.House of Representatives.Speaker Kevin O. McCarthy (R-CA) met withTaiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen inSouthern California this week. During themeeting, the two spoke of maintaining peaceand continuing the strong relationshipbetween the two countries.
