Throughout the day, members discussed the issues impactingrecruitment and retention. They also heard from U.S. Associate Attorney GeneralVanita Gupta, ATF Deputy Director Marvin G. Following this designation, theAdministration is developing a whole-of-government plan to combat the drug. TheFOP supports H.R. 1839/S. 933, the “Combating Illicit Xylazine Act,” which wouldadd xylazine to the Controlled Substances Act, listing it as a Schedule III drug forillicit use.President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., signed H.J. Res. 7 into law. The law terminates thenational emergency concerning COVID-19 declared by the President in March 2020.THIS WEEK IN WASHINGTONTHE WHITE HOUSE
