The top priority of the new Speaker will be passing appropriations bills tofund the Federal government, as funding for large parts of the government is slatedto run out on 17 November.The House Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Crime and FederalGovernment Surveillance held a hearing, entitled: "Oversight of the Bureau ofPrisons."The House Committee on Homeland Security’s Subcommittee on Border Securityand Enforcement held a hearing, entitled: “The Broken Path: How TransnationalCriminal Organizations Profit from Human Trafficking at the Southwest Border.”The House considered and passed H.
