National President Patrick Yoes assisted the National FOP's Disaster Area
Response Team (DART) in Fort Myers, FL.
National President Patrick Yoes participated in a meeting of the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Advisory Council.
On this week's episode of the Blue View, National President Patrick Yoes sat
down for part 1 of his conversation with John Cohen, who previously served
as the Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Assistant Secretary for
Counterterrorism and Threat Prevention at the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security (DHS).

National President Patrick Yoes gave numerous media interviews regarding
the FOP's response to Hurricane Ian, law enforcement line-of-duty deaths, the
increase of violence toward law enforcement officers across the country, as
well as the recruitment and retention crisis.
National Sergeant-at-Arms Keith Turney and Senior Legislative Liaison Tim
Richardson participated in a conference call with the leadership of Law
Enforcement Exploring (formerly the Police Explorers) about areas of mutual
interest in recruiting Explorers and guiding interested young people into law
enforcement careers.
Executive Director Jim Pasco spoke with Alejandro N. Mayorkas, Secretary
for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security bout the ongoing threat of
domestic terrorism.
Executive Director Jim Pasco spoke with Vanita Gupta, U.S. Associate
Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice about the ongoing
recruitment and retention crisis in law enforcement.
Executive Director Jim Pasco spoke with Kevin B. O’ Connor at the
International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) to discuss issue areas of
mutual concern.

facing nationwide as well as the surge in violent crime.
Senior Legislative Liaison Tim Richardson represented the FOP at the Public
Safety Summit hosted by the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention.
Senior Legislative Liaison Tim Richardson spoke with staff in the office of
Senator John Cornyn III (R-TX) regarding de-escalation initiatives and other
pending bills.
Senior Legislative Liaison Tim Richardson participated in a stakeholders
group conference call regarding the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program ‘s
update on the National Incident-Based Reporting System transition to address
section 18(a) of Executive Order 14074.

enforcement officer" for salary and retirement benefits to include all Federal law
enforcement officers.
